Leicestershire Local Access Forum

The Leicestershire Local Access Forum represents the interests of everyone concerned with public access in Leicestershire including both users and landowners. The forum also promotes the use of rights of way, country parks and open access for recreational use, as well as for commuting. There is a separate forum which covers the city.

The main role of the Forum is to advise all levels of local government, national government departments and relevant agencies on policy proposals and issues relating to access.  The forum also carries out regular site visits to assess the state of public land across the county, and to advise the authorities responsible of the forums findings.
