This talk describes how the Woodville family rose from obscurity to prominence during the Wars of the Roses through a secret marriage and facing opposition from figures like Richard, Earl of Warwick, the “King maker”.

We will also explore the connection of the House of Grey to the throne, their relationship to the Woodvilles, the power they held in the 15th century and the reasons behind the execution of their descendent Lady Jane Grey, known as the “Nine Days’ Queen”.
