The following sites are temporarily closed until further notice: Bottesford, Lount, Lutterworth, Oadby and Shepshed – full details.
The Coalville site is temporarily operating on extended days.
We currently cannot accept:
- Bric-a-brac: Barwell
- Fridges: Barwell and Loughborough
- Scrap metal: Barwell and Coalville
- Plasterboard: Coalville
- Upholstered domestic seating: All sites

Check if you need a permit
You'll need a permit if you're using a:
- Van, pick-up truck or any vehicle designed or altered to transport goods
- Trailer 4 foot 6 inches (1.37 metres) long or over (from front board to back board)
Key facts about temporary garden and household waste permits:
- Permits are free of charge
- Valid for 14 days at one site
- Permits are registered to one person and one vehicle – they are non-transferable
- Permits are emailed to you
Apply for a waste permit
You can apply for a temporary garden and household waste permit online - your permit will be emailed to you.
Alternatively you can choose to receive your permit through the post by contacting our customer service team.
