Waste site updates
From Monday 27 July: Due to low demand Shepshed site will revert to opening on Fridays and Saturdays only.
From 18 July: Lount site closed temporarily for a few weeks to house a new ReHome Zone. During this time only, Coalville will have extended days.
We currently cannot accept:
- Clothes: Coalville and Shepshed
- Fridges: Bottesford and Mountsorrel
- Large domestic appliances: Bottesford and Coalville
- Plasterboard: Mountsorrel
- Small electricals (domestic appliances): Oadby

Check if you need a permit
You'll need a permit if you're using a:
- Van, pick-up truck or any vehicle designed or altered to transport goods
- Trailer 4 foot 6 inches (1.37 metres) long or over (from front board to back board)
Key facts about temporary garden and household waste permits:
- Permits are free of charge
- Valid for 14 days at one site
- Permits are registered to one person and one vehicle – they are non-transferable
- Permits are emailed to you
Apply for a waste permit
You can apply for a temporary garden and household waste permit online - your permit will be emailed to you.
Alternatively you can choose to receive your permit through the post by contacting our customer service team.
