People interested in starting their adoption journey are encouraged to attend a virtual 'Find out about Adoption' event.

The informal session will take place on Tuesday 16 April 6:30-8:30pm via Microsoft teams, and will provide an opportunity for people to find out more about the application process and support available to adopt the amazing children waiting for a new home.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from those who have previously adopted and ask them and the team any questions they may have.

We are searching for forever families for over 50 children in Leicestershire, the majority of whom are under three years old.

I would strongly encourage anyone who is looking to start, add to, or complete their family and considering adoption to get in touch with our friendly team.

Jane Moore, director of children and family services

Those wanting to attend a virtual ‘find out about adoption’ events can email adoption@leics.gov.uk and a member of the team will be in touch with further details.

More information is available on the dedicated web page.
