Small amounts of cooking oils in sealed containers can be put in your general waste bin.

At your local recycling and household waste site There are special containers for oils

You can recycle empty containers:

As part of your kerbside recycling collection – check with your district council
At some local recycling banks or bring banks – use the recycling locator on Recyclenow to find your nearest

Advice for businesses:

Donate used cooking oil to Biodiesel companies who will convert it into biodiesel.
Some charities may collect used cooking oil to fund projects.
Do not pour down sinks or drains as this can lead to prosecution.
