About the portal
The Adult Social Care Portal is a secure space where you can complete and submit requests for support.
You can use the portal to request support for yourself, or on behalf of someone else if you have their permission, and you can get an indication of how much you need to pay towards services using the Financial Assessment tool (Care cost estimator).
Professionals can submit a number of referrals and requests on behalf of the people they are working with.

You can use the care cost estimator to get an indication of how much you may need to pay towards the cost of your care. You can then choose to submit the form and upload evidence in a safe and secure way.

Carers assessment
You can apply for a carer's assessment using the portal.
Self-assessment for minor adaptations and equipment
If you’re over 18 and live in the county of Leicestershire, you can complete an online self-assessment form for equipment and minor adaptations
Young carers support
You can get support if you are 18+ and care about someone.
Registering for the portal
To be able to submit forms into Leicestershire County Council, you will need to register for an account. You will need to have a valid email address and will need to create a password. Your password must:
- be at least 8 characters long
- contain at least one letter
- contain only letters, digits, and special characters
- start with a letter
- contain at least one upper-case letter
- contain at least one number
- contain at least one special character
Once you have registered for an account, you will be sent an eight-digit unique verification code to the email address that you have provided. The email address will be from socialcareportalenquiries@leics.gov.uk - please check your junk/spam folder to see if it is in there. The registration process will only be complete once the code is entered and accepted.
Logging into the portal
To log into the portal, please use your email address and the password used to register. You will receive a new eight-digit unique verification code that you will need to enter where prompted. You will be sent a different code each time you log in.
