If you're in school or college
If you’re still at school or college, careers advice is available through the careers adviser or careers lead. They can help to:
- decide what you want to do
- find out about further education and training
- learn how to complete a CV, apply for a job or training
If you're not in education, employment or training
You can use the Careers Advice Service if you’re:
- not in education, training or a job and
- 16 to 19 years old (or 16 to 25 years old if you have a learning disability or special educational need)

Support and training
Jobcentre Plus - Specialist Employability Support
Specialist Employability Support is intensive support and training to help you into work if you’re disabled.
You can apply if other employment programmes and schemes, such as Access to Work aren't suitable for you.
You’ll usually get Specialist Employability Support for 12 months.

Grants
If you’re disabled or have a physical or mental health condition that makes it hard for you to do your job, you can:
- talk to your employer about changes they must make in your workplace
- apply for Access to Work if you need extra help
