Library update

From Monday 12 April, our council-run libraries will be open for browsing, borrowing and returning items. See what to expect when you visit a library page for more information.

We are still offering a click and collect service, for those who wish to use the service, until further notice.

You can still visit our digital library and access thousands of books, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers on your phone, tablet or computer. If you’re not already a member, it’s quick and easy to join online.

All loans will be extended until Monday 12 April and no overdue or hire charges will be applied until 1 July 2021.

Please note: smart hours are currently unavailable.

To use the library during smart hours please complete a Smart Library induction and familiarise yourself with the layout and exits of the library using the:

Activities

NCT Bumps, Babies and Beyond group

Alternate Fridays 11am to 12noon.

A National Childbirth Trust (NCT) initiative for new and expectant parents and other carers. A chance to meet, have a coffee, chat and share information. Contact the library to check when the next session will be held.

Colouring Club

Every Tuesday 2pm to 3.30pm.

An informal group for those wishing to do some colouring in a friendly and relaxed group. Materials provided for this drop in, free session.

DIG IT from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau

Every second Friday of the month, 10am to 11.30am.

Free digital and internet skills training. Booking is essential, please contact them on 01283 210109 to book your place!

Wriggly Readers

Alternate Fridays 10.30am to 11am.

Fun, informal sessions where babies and children aged 0-4 years and their parents / carers can join in with stories, songs and rhymes in a welcoming environment. An opportunity for families to meet and make friends.
