Activities
Colouring Club
Every Monday 1pm to 2.30pm.
An informal group for those wishing to do some colouring in a friendly and relaxed group. Materials provided for this drop in, free session.
Enterprise hubs
Every Wednesday 10am to 12pm.
Provides support for anyone aged 18 or above looking for support with business or self-employment. Come along to our informal drop-in sessions for one-to-one business support, business opportunity profiles, market analysis, information regarding business plans, local business information, networking opportunities and access to seminars.
Hinckley scribblers - local writing group
Every Friday 10.30am to 12.30pm.
An informal group for anyone wishing to discuss creative writing in a friendly atmosphere. There will be refreshments available.
Knit and stitch group
Every Monday, 10:30am-12:30am.
Everyone is welcome to this new, free group. Please bring your own knitting or crochet materials. This group is run by The Make a Friend Project, but anyone is welcome to drop in and join in.
Scrabble group
Every Tuesday 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Come and enjoy a game of Scrabble. New members welcome to this group.
Stay and play
Every day during opening hours.
Enjoy the family friendly children’s area with mini kitchen, blackboard, bean bags, activity table, Duplo and a dressing up corner for children to enjoy. You can browse and borrow books and talking books or borrow DVDs (including some Disney classics). We also have a coffee machine for adult use.
Work clubs
Every Wednesday 10am to 12pm.
If you are aged 18 or above we can help you with returning to work, if you are under threat of redundancy, looking for a career change, looking for employment or training. Come along to our informal drop-in sessions for help with CVs, cover letters, setting up an email address, IT skills, searching and applying for jobs, interview techniques, access to training and volunteering opportunities.
Wriggly Readers
Every Tuesday 10.30am to 11am. This event is ticketed - tickets collected from library helpdesk from 10am on Tuesdays.
Fun, informal sessions where babies and children aged 0-4 years and their parents/carers can join in with stories, songs and rhymes in a welcoming environment. An opportunity for families to meet and make friends.
