Leicestershire County Council is encouraging commuters to use two wheels to get to work as part of National Cycle to Work Day.

The national event, which will see thousands of people travelling on two wheels across the country, takes place on Wednesday 14 September. It aims to encourage everyone to experience what commuting by bike is like for one day.

“Cycling to work, or even to school or the shops, can be a fun way to introduce a healthy exercise into your routine, and above all using a bike to travel is free. So make sure you dust off that bike in the shed or under the stairs, swap your regular way of commuting for two wheels and enjoy the benefits that thousands of residents already experience on a daily basis.”
