The 2025-26 Chairman is Paul Harrison, he is the 49th since the council began in 1889.
The Vice Chairman for 2025- 26 is Andrew Hamilton-Gray.
The county council is proud to support members of the Armed Forces and their families in Leicestershire.
In 2005, the council agreed to appoint Honorary Aldermen. The title recognises exceptional service of people who have reached the end of their political careers.
The award holds the same value as an MBE and acknowledges the remarkable efforts of volunteer groups in their communities
