Foster parents sought by county council

Kind-hearted individuals are being asked to step forward and become foster parents for vulnerable children and young people in Leicestershire.

Leicestershire County Council  hosts two informal ‘Find out about Fostering’ events in February at County Hall in Glenfield.

The events, on Tuesday 5th February and Thursday 28th February respectively, will take place at 6.30pm and are aimed at encouraging more people to open up their homes to children in need.

They will provide an opportunity for people to meet and talk to carers, as well as the council’s fostering team and find out about how providing foster care is a hugely rewarding role.

To find out more visit https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/whats-on/find-out-about-fostering ,  call 0116 305 0505 or e-mail fosteringandadoption@leics.gov.uk

Future events scheduled to take place in the coming weeks include:

• Wednesday 27th March
• Thursday 25th April
• Tuesday 21st May
• Wednesday 12th June
