Coronavirus - Advice on School Applications

All parents and carers are politely asked to note that although you will be able to continue to make a mid-term (in-year) application, your application will now be held on file until the Government/DfE issue further guidance to confirm the full re-opening of all schools.

Applications from parents and carers wishing to make a late Year 7 transfer application for any reason, for entry Autumn 2020, will be processed as best we are able during the current school restrictions.

My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

The deadline for applications for children moving to secondary school in September 2020 has now passed.

If you haven't already applied you need to apply now. It will be classed as a late application.

Results

The results for the 2020 secondary school applications made by 31 January 2020, were made available on secondary school offer day - 2 March 2020.

If you applied online for your child’s school place, you will receive an email.

You can also login to your online account on the Admissions website (citizen's portal) from 2 March, to find out which school has been offered.

If you applied by post, we will send you a letter by 1st class post on 2 March (or the next working day). This may take up to 5 days to arrive.

The results for applications received after 31 January 2020, will be made available from 3 April 2020 onwards.

What happens next

If you’re happy with the school place offered to your child, you don’t need to do anything else.
If you wish to decline the offer of a school place, please notify School Admissions in writing as a matter of urgency.

If you’ve been refused a school place, you can find out how to appeal against a school place.
